Lisa McLaren - A Biography

Lisa has had a part to play in many different aspects of the business. However, her main role has been in the area of customer service.

Lisa grew up in a small country town in Northland just west of Wellsford called Port Albert. She is from a family of 5 children – two boys and three girls. She was educated at the Wellsford Primary School and then the Living Way Learning Centre before landing a role as shop assistant for the Wellsford Fruit and Vege store. She worked in this role for a number of years and was often given the huge responsibility (for a person of her age) of running the shop floor solo.

In 2002, Lisa left Port Albert and moved to Auckland to complete a Certificate of Business Administration at Unitec in Mt Albert. At the conclusion of her Unitec course she landed a role as an Accounts Clerk with Tek Travel, a travel wholesaler providing travel packages to the retail market.

During her time with Tek Travel Lisa got married and then moved with her husband to the North Shore in Auckland. She quickly found the daily traffic grind each day to and from Tek Travel's offices in Parnell too much and so decided to look for a new role on the North Shore.

Her next role was as an Accounts Clerk with High Modulus, a highly respected company based in Albany that provided composite materials, technology and engineering services to the marine industry. Lisa was part of the High Modulus team for two and half years and learnt many new skills and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. However, after a few years she was ready for a change and was keen to pursue a more customer-facing role.

Lisa joined Zeald.com in 2004 originally working in accounts receivable. She has had a part to play in many different aspects of the business including the design of marketing materials, accounts receivable processes and many other different systems and processes. However, her main role has been in the area of customer service. Lisa is an experienced Account Manager with Zeald.com and project manages customer projects and provides ongoing support to Zeald.com’s client base.

Lisa lives with her husband David in Browns Bay, Auckland. She played netball right through her college schooling (Goal Attack) and loves relaxing with a few friends and a nice bottle of wine. She enjoys tramping and long walks and one day hopes to travel around the world. She doesn’t like boating very much – but her husband is a mad boatie and uses all of his powers of persuasion to convince her to come on his expeditions on a regular basis.

Lisa loves her arts and crafts – including painting, sewing and restoring old furniture. She loves running and amongst her many goals are to one day run a full marathon and own a Polish Lowland Sheepdog!
