Ines Grobner

Ines is very interested in the whole field of website usability, usability testing and combining usability with design. She is also fascinated by website design trends and directions.

Ines was born in small town in Germany called Bad Kreuznach which is near Frankfurt. She went to school there and her parents and many of her extended family still live there. 

Ines went to Magdeburg to study Industrial Design for one year and then to Cologne to study General Design for 5 years - completing a Degree in Design. During her studies, Ines worked as a freelance designer for a number of small businesses doing graphic and website design, branding work and various other odds and ends. After gaining her degree, Ines completed a 4 month internship as a Website Designer with the firm TMG Internet Consulting in London.

Ines then moved to Munich where she took up a full-time role with 3G Net doing a number of different tasks including website design, project management and search engine optimisation. One of the major clients she was heavily involved in was E-Bay in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Ines was also responsible for the branding and website for 3G Net.  Her partner completed a PHD in Germany in Chemistry and moved to NZ to take up an attractive role as senior research scientist at the University of Auckland.  Naturally, Ines came with him to New Zealand and ended up at Zeald.com as a Website Designer.

Leisure for Ines means SPORTS - lots of sports. She was a very competitive team rower for three years; training 8 times a week! That sport also meant a lot of travel which Ines enjoys. She loves running as well as hiking and tramping. Ines also like all types of cooking but admits she is still learning how to cook fish well.

Her main hobby is screen printing which she started doing to get some more practical experience.
