Louise Wilkinson

Louise is passionate about design and enjoys the challenge web design poses to balance the functionality and aesthetics of a design to produce a website which achieves great results for the client.

Louise’s design background began at St Cuthberts College school where she enthusiastically pursued her passion for art and design. She completed her schooling through to 7th form receiving an A bursary and scholarship for design. With her heart firmly set on continuing her study of design through University, Louise completed a 3 year Bachelor of Design degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Someone who doesn’t do anything by halves Louise approached the degree with dedication and energy to broaden her knowledge and skills in design and achieved highly in the degree.

During her studies, Louise worked as a freelance designer for a number of small businesses working on brochures, posters, newsletters and presentations. Having completed her degree she began her career with a full time position as In-house graphic designer for the Auckland City Council. During her time working for the Council Louise worked on a number of projects producing promotional material, maps, brochures, posters, presentations and much more.
As her contract to the council was drawing to a close Louise had to consider her next move and after working mainly in the print area, decided it was time for a new challenge. “I have always had an interest in multimedia and in particular website design and in my search for my next challenge I discovered and happily accepted the role of web designer for Zeald”.

Louise is passionate about design and enjoys the challenge web design poses to balance the functionality and aesthetics of a design to produce a website which achieves great results for the client.

Louise is well known in the Zeald office for her remarkable real stories. From the time she broke her arm falling out of a tree at school whilst trying to retrieve her fallen lunch box and then this causing her to faint repeatedly, through to her interesting use of superglue which she used on her hands when windsurfing and suffering from blisters during a long regatta.

Leisure for Louise involves lots of sport and fitness. She was a competitive windsurfer for several years and now enjoys running, cycling, swimming and going to the gym with the intention of soon competing in triathlons.

Louise enjoys the great kiwi outdoors and on some long weekends, especially the summer ones, she can be found relaxing at the family batch in Whangarei Heads, fishing with dad and windsurfing or wakeboarding, she enjoys any activity based around the sea.
