Faisal Jabbar

With a strong background in social media and marketing, Faisal has been ideally placed to help many a business owner understand precisely how they can make use of both traditional, as well as cutting-edge online techniques to attract & persuade targeted potential customers.

Born in Bangladesh, Faisal grew up in Brunei, Malaysia and travelled a number of countries before deciding to call New Zealand home. Since immigrating he has always lived in Auckland where he attended Massey High School. During his time at Massey, he had shown a special interest and excelled in economics. This would then form the basis for much of his later study.

Following high school, Faisal pursued a Bachelor of Business with majors in Marketing and Finance at AUT. He also took this stage of his life as an opportunity to pursue his other great passions – technology and people.

Very early on he has found these two interests to be best compatible in the Social Web. After having moved to New Zealand in the late 90’s, Faisal recalls IRC chat rooms playing a major role in keeping contact with family and friends overseas. As technologies developed so did his passion for the web.         

Outside of Zeald, Faisal works with a non-profit organisation (Kea New Zealand) to help them best utilise Social/Digital Media to build online communities and deal with customers. This role has allowed Faisal to further develop his marketing knowledge and skills gained at university. 

Prior to joining the team at Zeald, Faisal worked in marketing for two and a half years where he worked very closely with high profile brands to help find ways to improve their customer experience.

Since joining the team at Zeald, Faisal has worked with many existing Zeald clients to help them get the most out of their Zeald website and ramp up the results they receive. His training at Zeald along with a strong background in social media and marketing has left him ideally placed to help many a business owner understand precisely how they can make use of both traditional, as well as cutting-edge online techniques to attract & persuade targeted potential customers.
