Isabel McLaren - A Biography

Izzie loves music and has a deep passion for photography – focusing on both portraits and scenery.

Isabel (or Izzie as she is known within Zeald) grew up in a small country town north of Auckland called Port Albert.   She is the second youngest child in a family of five.  

Izzie was homeschooled till the age of 10 and then continued her schooling at the Living Way Learning Centre before moving to Rodney College to complete her schooling.  She excelled in music and English and won the Play it Strange national song writing competition with a number of her friends in 2008.

She was a top roller skater in her early years, entering in many competitions and rating as New Zealand’s no. 1 roller skater in her age group.

During her school years, Izzie worked for a number of well respected cafes in Wellsford as a waitress and helping with food preparation.  After finished NCEA Level 2 in 2008, she moved to Albany and joined the Zeald support team.

Izzie loves music and has a deep passion for photography – focusing on both portraits and scenery.  She enjoys both netball and soccer and hopes to head off on a big overseas experience sometime in the years ahead.
