Complimenting his engineering background Simon is a natural when it comes to in Sales and Marketing in both the Online and Offline environments. Simon describes himself as a practitioner in both “Clicks and Mortar” marketing thru creating and owning 5+ businesses over last 20 years – generating $20 million+ in sales, minimal employees, and being able to take 8+ weeks of annual leave a year!

From his origins as a Trade Qualified Electrician Simon has gone on to certify in electronics and computing then management with the NZIM and a final coup de grace his MBA while working as the Auckland Regional Manager for Arrow Inc. and OEM Sales Manager for TradeTech NZ Limited.

Having as he does an extensive background in Project and Key Account Management, Sales Management, Business Development, Advertising and Marketing Simon has amassed a wealth of knowledge through practical business and marketing disciplines either on his own account, or working with teams of sales people to take action in the field.

Simon applied his online marketing skills when he created for his wife a 100% online store, www.productsfromnz.com where he provided web store functionality, off and online marketing, advertising and sales consultancy to create the entire company's global marketing communication strategy. This included amongst other things Internet / Extranet web research, design and webmaster liaison, providing significant input into layout and functionality of website. He worked extensively with software programmers; acting as the interface between “techie” and client. As a webmaster himself, Simon worked with 3rd party Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialists to create optimized
‘copy’ and has achieved excellent rankings in the top 3 Search Engines. Simon also worked closely with trade organizations in New Zealand, Canada and the USA providing consultation and strategies on ways to promote the business of Products From New Zealand through wholesale distribution and supplier negotiations.

In addition to Simon’s B2B and B2C experience his knowledge of online business is in such demand that he now lectures in E-Commerce at University level where he sees first hand the future for online marketing, a future he predicts as being all good for those who grasp the opportunity now.
