Product or service listing pages list and display products or services that have been located through a search or category linking the web page design. Generally, a web site will use one of two different basic types of listing pages:
- Thumbnail List
A thumbnail list page displays a list of products or services utilising the thumbnail image as the central element of the list. - Text List
A text list page displays a list of products or services utilising the product name as the central element of the list. It allows the user to view a large list of products by product name
Text list pages are great for product or service catalogue web page designs that don’t require the support of pictures – computer parts, electronic parts, etc.
List pages are only relevant for web sites that are looking to display a list of products or services.

Product or service detail pages display all the details about a particular product or service. The key question that you will need to ask yourself when planning a product or service detail page are – what does the customer want and need, in order to make a purchasing decision, or a decision to enquire?
