September 2007 - Business to Business newspaperOne of New Zealand’s leading website design companies, Zeald, based in Albany, has been recognised at the 2007 Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards. Zeald won the Excellence in Marketing category at the awards ceremony held in Albany on 30 August.
The award comes as the company is experiencing substantial growth. Zeald Chief Executive Officer David Kelly says it has so much demand for its services that it urgently needs to recruit more consultants who are keen to benefit from the exponential growth in New Zealand’s website industry.
Mr Kelly says the opportunity to buy a Zeald licence would appeal to highenergy people who share the company’s passion for producing great results from the internet.
“After seven years Zeald has established itself as one of the country’s leading advisers to small-medium businesses on their website and online marketing strategies.
“Our vision for the future is clear – we are committed to being a worldclass business. We operate in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Northland, Wellington and have just announced the appointment of our first E-Business Consultant in the South Island – Dene Robinson, based in Christchurch. Within two years we aim to have E-Business Consultants right across the country,” said Mr Kelly.
Mr Kelly says more and more New Zealanders are getting online yet there are over 200,000 small-medium businesses in New Zealand who are either not getting enough from their websites, or don’t even know where to start.
“This presents fantastic opportunities for people who want to be self-employed with Zeald. Typically our E-Business Consultants come from business backgrounds and have a sound understanding of business fundamentals and a strong interest in the potential of the internet.
“Essentially their role is to help their clients create effective online sales and marketing strategies. Delivering a good-looking website is just part of what we offer – it’s about working with business owners to develop an end-to-end process for building a successful online sales channel that delivers results,” said Mr Kelly.
Mr Kelly says that while the role of E-Business Consultant is suited to motivated individuals seeking a challenge, Zeald provides a range of training and support programmes to its team, and great rewards to those who put the effort in.
“You don’t have to be a website or tech guru to succeed with Zeald. We provide a comprehensive induction,
an ongoing training programme, robust systems and extensive sales resources for the E-Business Consultants,” he said.
One of the things differentiating Zeald from its competitors is its philosophy of ‘give to receive’. As well as providing a range of material and resources for free on its own website, the company also hosts free seminars to introduce businesses to the power of being online – and what it takes to be successful.
“The free seminars, as well as our website and strong referral network, produce a considerable volume of good quality leads so there is no shortage of opportunities for our E–Business Consultants,” said Mr Kelly.
